While on my trip in Lewisville, it will not come as a surprise that I have had my fair share with bad drivers. While I would definitely rate my average experience as being fairly good, the bad ones that I have had have been on the opposite end of the spectrum. It would be because of this reason that I would like to share my experience with a bad driver with all of you. I would like to do that, not only to raise awareness, but also to educate you regarding what kind of driver you should look out for your next cab hail.
Keep Both Eyes On The Road While In Lewisville
So, my day started off quite nicely when I booked a cab from a company for a tour which I was going to take. In order to get the best rate, I decided to call and book the cab a couple of days in advance. While talking to them, I was quite happy and satisfied with the service as the lady on the phone was very understanding and accommodating. In addition, they were professional enough to send me an email to confirm the cab, along with all the important details. As a result, I was looking forward to my tour ahead.
When the main day rolled ahead, I was again happy to see that my cab had arrived right on time and was waiting outside my hotel. When I entered the cab, I was greeted by a very friendly and forthcoming middle-aged man. He tried to make small talk with me all the way which definitely eased me up to some extent.
Don’t Listen To Back Seat Drivers
However, when we were stuck in traffic for a bit was when that man’s actual face started appearing. While I am not the sort to talk bad about someone, in this case I just found it to be inevitable. Not only was this man unaware of his surroundings, but he always played the part of the victim. Even when it was his fault, he manipulated the entire situation in such a way so that the blame came upon an innocent driver. Not only was I shocked but appalled by the way things were turning.
After a lot of twisting and turning, I finally arrived at my destination. Since I had booked the cab for the entire day, I told the driver to wait until I came out and called him. Due to the weather being extremely hot and humid that day, I decided to cut my tour short and head back to the hotel. I informed the cab company about the change in my plans and they said I would be charged accordingly.
On the way back, I was way too drained out to listen to the driver’s bickering and stories of driving in Lewisville, just hoping that I would reach my destination safe and sound. Once I reached my hotel, I was told to pay the full amount which took me back my surprise. No matter what I said, the driver just would not budge. In fact, I was even made to pay extra as tip. The sad part is that when I called the cab company to confront them, they said they had forgotten to update the driver about the change. I was beyond furious at this point and also sad that nothing could be done to rectify the situation.
So, while I would be able to harp on and on about it, the bottom line is that you should not trust what is being said to you. I definitely learned my lesson and I hope nobody has to go through this as I had to and can find little things about our economy.
